Momentum Dance Company is a boutique dance studio and home of the seven time national award winning competitive company. MDC prides itself on intimate sized classes focusing on each dancer's strengths and goals.  Every dancer is worked with individually to help them achieve ultimate success in their dance training.

Founded 11 years ago by professional dancer, educator and choreographer, Betsy Woyach, Momentum has set the gold standard for dance in Santa Barbara. While creating the first competitive dance company in Santa Barbara, MDC has also created a recreational program based on the highest quality dance education. MDC is more than a dance studio, it is a home away from home, creating the leaders of tomorrow. 

Known for our award winning Competitive Company, is an optional component of the MDC Family. Company members cultivate characteristics such as team work, goal setting, hard work, commitment and dedication. Company is also an incredible opportunity for dancers to bond, and be inspired by other dancers, as well as create memories that will last a life time.  Competitions provide dancers with constructive criticism and point out areas dancers can improve upon, outside from what their day-to-day instructors provide them with. It is a fresh perspective on dancing and keeps dancers "on their toes."  The reward for all the hard work is incomparable. 

Betsy Woyach's goal for creating Momentum Dance Company was to inspire dancers in Santa Barbara to reach new levels in their dancing while leading with love and a passion for dance. The culture at MDC is full of fun, energy and belonging. She teaches her dancers to set goals, empower themselves  and know heir self worth and value inside and out of her dance studio walls.
